Has anyone got one of these? Saw one erected at a local camping shop and really liked it. Just wondering how practical it would be for one person to set up alone. Other comments or experiences also welcome. Thanks

Hi Camper in the rye and welcome to UKCS a most addictive website. As you will know this model is a new addition to the Outwell range and a lot of people will not have currently been camping with this tent. Maybe after the Easter period you may get some more feedback.

I saw it in our local camping shop . I wondered how  the door canopy would fair as one of the stopper things at the side seemed to be rubbing on the main tent.  i wondered if this would be adjustable as i thought it may be an area for seepage in wet weather.

Hi Camper in the Rye.

I am new to camping and did a lot of research before opting for the Minnesota 4.

Pitching it was a dream, I had some help but essentially did it on my own without a hitch. Some of the poles showed sign of rust though.

My troubles started 24 hours later when I notoiced that it leaked in several places.

The design is great but there has to be something badly wrong when it cannot keep you dry!

We're thinking about buying the Minnesota 4 or 6 - alarmed to hear about leaking and rusty poles, or perhaps this is a isolated case?!

Hi everyone first post on here.
Bought mine last Monday and used it over the bank holiday weekend. Needs a minimum of two people to erect the tent as you have three heavy steel poles. Watch the video on Outwells` website for more info. It does go up a doddle.

Weather was very windy and it rained quite a bit on the Llanbedr coast line. The Minnesota 4 stood up to the elemnets with no problems whatsover.

Im really chuffed with it and I think its a bargain at £229.00

I have the monty 4 which is the tent before the minnisota. Its very similar. you need two to put it up best. I love my monty find it a great tent. one of the differnces between the two was that the monty has a full porch on it at the side and the minnesota has a larger side window.
