I am thinking of buying a Sunncamp Vario 600 Plus this season having made do with my faithful Khyam Rigidome for 5 seasons. Just wondered what the dimensions of the storage bag is. Anyone know? I want to get tent into a long narrow roof box so I may put 3 bikes plus roof box on the roof. Don't want to buy and tow a trailer.

Is the 2 of the 4+2 bedroom large enough for two sleeping bags and two young teenagers?

Any recommendations of long narrow roofboxes and experience of Vario 600 + are appreciated.

Thanks

Hantshog

have a look on a website selling the vario 600, sorry cant think of any of the top of my head, they usually list the pack size. We have a huge Thule roof box, recommend Thule, I have seen them with bikes on the top plus box but 2 not 3 bikes i think.

Hi hantshog and welcome to UKCS a most addictive website. The pack size may not be the issue here but the weight. Most roofboxes and modern car roofs have a maximum load capacity of 50kgs (70kgs on some modern 4X4). Last years Vario 600 Plus according to the website weighs in at 40kgs so you could potentially be getting very close to the maximum load limit of the box and your car roof.

hi i have the 600, the 2 section part of the bedroom pod is not really big enough for 2 single air beds , i can just fit 2 junior ready beds in. the bag is a bit bulky its about 3' long x 2'.6" wide depending on how well you pack it up.

hope this helps

Thanks all for responses everyone. Spoke to roofbox co. They reckon 3 bikes + roofbox is pushing it.

Like to know the height of the Vario 600 + bag as well if poss as I am thinking of buying an Autoform 370 roofbox.
