are lichfield has been fine , kept us dry in more than one rain storm ,

 some people look at tent makes, like they look at car models.  if you get a hh rating over 3000 that will be OK for the British summer.

I have the same Lichfield as Frankie9, all original, been through some trying times has never let us down, it's 14 yrs old

Thanks for those posts people - you've said nothing to put me off, and I think it might come at a bargain price so I'll probably go for it.

Wondered whether you went ahead with your purchase. Would be nice to know what you thought of the tent if you bought it.

Disaster struck with the tent purchase - it was an ebay bargain but someone outbid me with seconds to go... so it's back to the drawing board.  

I've got a few more weeks to go before the first outing of the year....
