Well, OK it started badly when I ordered a Tucana 5 berth tent from their website when it was reduced from £220 to £130 in January. Despite doing this on the day they made the reduction I was told they were out of stock & discontinued. Very disappointing.

Imagine my surprise when I found on of these tents last week in the Lakeside shop  still at £220 despite their big sale. Discussions with the manager got nowhere & I left disappointed.

I then emailed the web team & outlined the situation. They found me a tent at a closer store, negoitated the £130 price with the manager & I've picked it up today. It's even a 2007 version. Superb. OK so they could have avoided the situation altogether by dealing with the original situation better but credit where credit is due.

I too had good customer service from Blacks this week after receiving a faulty tent.

I was very impressed 

Good onyer!  I work as a retail manager and people always find the time to complain if something isnt right, it's such a change to see others taking the time to offer praise for good service!
