There probably won't be much different in pitching times between a frame tent and a large dome, but they are very different in design and make up. I'd suggest you go and have a look, and see which 'feels' best for you. Don Valley stock a good range of Cabanon frame tents, and lots of domes and tunnel tents, so it is a good place to start. I don't know if their outdoor display is up yet, but it's worth going on a wet and wild day, rather than just when the sun is shining, to get a good idea of what it would be like to spend any time confined to the tent.
