Hi there,

Does anyone have a QUECHUA 2.6 XL AIR tent? We've just bought one from Decathlon and are pretty chuffed with our purchase. Must admit it was a spur of the moment buy.. but having said that, am still happy with it.

However, just for reassurance I was wondering if anyone has this tent because i have not been able to find any reviews on this particular model.

Thanks for your advice... if any!

Thanks for your comment. I keep hearing about the Quechua pop up tent.. reviews are endless on that particular one. Very intrigued... Not sure however if we can fit me, hubby, 10yr old, 2 yr old in it though. lol. Love the concept, why cant they make a pop family tent! that'd be brill.

they actually do a four berth but you cannot stand up in them unless you are verticly challenged i think they retail about £65-70 pound give or take a bit   [;)]

Hi Quechua and welcome to UKCS,

I too have 2 sec pop up tent which is brilliant. We have a Decathlon nearby so I used to see the Quechua range of tents very often and they looked a good tent.

Hi Mark

Thanks for the reassurance. We were hoping to put up the tent for the last couple of days but the weather just cant seem to make up its mind! First sun, then rain, followed by wind and now snow! whatever next.

First time visiting Decathlon at Surrey Quays,  loved it! Did not see any tents set up though, it would have been nice but hey we've used our imagination with the help of pictures when choosing our tent so hopefully when we erect it, im sure it'll meet to our expectations.

Hi Quechua

We bought the 6.2 for our first tent, used it 4 times last year without any problems, it's really easy to erect with plenty of living space..

Only reason we've changed to the Diablo is for the SIG

Happy camping

hi there undercanvas1974

thanks for the reassurance! I was starting to get desperate... especially without meeting anyone who has a tent like ours, from the exception of yourselves, that it :o)

This is our first tent and the roomy space it has to offer really appealed to us, plus it was within our budget. We are excited to get it up and will definitely give it a test run before we venture off camping in April (wish us luck)

Im glad to hear that its easy to set up as the instructions were not as detailed as I would have expected. But as they say practice makes perfect. Does it require 2 people to set up the tent or can it be done by one person?

It really needs 2 people to put it up, Just feed all of the poles through, make sure all of the tension straps are loose so you can get the pins in the poles, peg the back down then lift the front up with one of you either side and pull it forward, then one of you holds it up while the other peg the guy lines, then finally tighten the tension straps, you can see ours in all of its glory in my profile.

I thought i saw a four man maybe mistaken for three man but i saw it in the flesh at Giltbrook nr ilkeston plenty of room if you have not got too much stuff to put in it, it will see four people sleep easily for the weekend especialy if you have an estate car to put extras in.

Hi quechua.

I was recentley looking at this tent but i thought the T6.2XL Air was a warm weather version of the T6.2 XL

If i were you I would check it out as it may have more vents or be colder at night.

If you can't find any info on the internet have a look at the in-store catalogue as it gives the full spec. Staff at stockport told me they won't display till easter. seemed a bit strange?

Looks like a nice tent though and plenty of space with 10 sq. mtrs of living space.

best wishes simon.
