I''ve just bought a factory second Khyam Mckinley and have a question regarding pitching.

I can't see anywhere to secure to pole which bends around the front area (the pole that needs to be threaded through the front porch), and as such the only way I can get the pole to bend in a half circle is to stick each end into the earth! Is this a problem becaude it is a factory second, or am I pitching the tent incorrectly? Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

According to the advertising blurb it should have a ring and pin system

Looking at the Diagram on your other thread you should have a ring and pin at each end of your porch pole sleeves, you push the pin up inside the pole

Factory second or not the ring and pin should be there.

If not they are pretty easy to attach and I am sure Kyham would post them to you.

I was wondering that myself, and did you get it up eventually?

Yes, ring and pin were there.

I would highly recommend buying one of the Khyam factory second tents available online (google 'Khyam factory' for the link), ours appeared to have been pitched before, however it is in mint condition.

Overall very happy with the purchase (especially now as I can pitch it properly!)
