Hiya,

I shamefully admit that I haven't been on here for ages   but I've been getting the urge to drag the tent out again!

Are you all going away at easter?

We went to Erwlon last Easter and got rained in for 3 days out of 5. My other half moaned about it which has put me off going so early but I could do with a break and fancy a few days away.

I know he's not as keen on camping as I am, but the kids love it and it would be great in the Easter hols for them

I must be going soft in my old age!

I'm going away at Easter.  We went away for the Mayday Bank Holiday last year and were freezing.  Having reorganised sleeping arrangements I'm hoping we are going to be OK this year.

Judging by the difficulty I had getting a pitch in the Lakes over easter, loads of people will be away. We are going to Hawkshead and hope the weather is like it is today.

If other half doesn't want to go then go without him!  I enjoy taking the kids for a few nights on my own.  We're off for 3 nights the week before easter, coming back good friday.  Charlie's too busy to come with us.

Hi Kate,

How do you manage to put the tent up on your own?

I certainly couldnt manage the Gelert Lokon on my own, though I'm sure I could manage the Vango on my own..... got me thinking now! haha. I know he'd come along anyway cos he'd rather suffer with us than us go on our own!!

I think I'll keep an eye on the weather, OH rekons it's supposed to be sunny.

i am off to devils bridge if weather ok as i live in hereford but on the welsh boarder so its not to far to decided whether or not to go at the last minute and where i am going you dont need to book at easter but will ring up early morning on the day i am going to see if they have a space just incase they are full
