We got in at Rosedale Abbey (N Yorks) by the skin of our teeth, despite booking a month ahead.

Seems to me there's business out there for camping entrepreneurs - we need more sites, especially for tents, who seem to be the poor relation in many sites.

We are going to Cornwall over the Bank Holiday weekend.  We only booked this morning but they seemed to have several harge pitches with EHU free still so hopefully won't be too busy.

I reckon nearly every site in the country will be full, it's the first holiday of the year and peeps will be out whatever the weather!

I was really looking forward to going camping in the easter hols but we are getting a kitten and it needs to settle in with us there. I have a strong feeling our tent will still need airing though. And we will have to put it up in our very small, very sloped garden. That will be fun! Oops. was i sarcastic

we are going to the new forest,most of their camp sites are full too.

Enjoy it wherever you go!  We ummed and ahhed about going away at Easter, but it's been quite an expensive time so far this year and we also don't like to put upon our neighbour too much as she looks after our hens, so hey-ho lots of Easter fun and egg-hunts at home!  I remember the AA saying last year that the Thursday before Good Friday was turning into the busiest traffic day as people were going one day ahead to avoid the BH queues .... so make it a very early start!
