I have been looking at a tent advertised, second hand Vango 800 DlX 2006 model. I am slightly confused as I thought these had 2 small and one large bedroom but on speaking to the seller he said it has two rooms and a small kitchen area at the back instead of a third room. Does anyone have any pictures or advice?

The tent dimensions are on here. Looks like 2 small and 1 large bedroom as you thought.

There was a model of the Colorado 800 made on 2005 that had two four-berth pods and a flat full height doorway at the back of the tent to use as a kitchen area. (If you want to cook in the tent, that is....not everyone does.)  Maybe he bought it in 2006 but it was the previous years model?

Whatever...it`s a good tent, just depends if the layout suits you, really. I thought it was a good tent for interior space and the big back door was useful as through ventilation. I think it could pole out as well, and my Hubby said that if you turned the whole thing round and used the flat door as the front door, the porch tunnel would be great as internal living area that you didn`t have to walk through en route to the front door, or as bike storage etc.

Older Colorados' certainly have just two four-berth pods each side and a 'cooking area' (which we never used) at the rear. I know this 'cos I've got a 2004 version and looking at the new Colorado it's a lot different.
My main gripe with the older version was the large gap between flysheet and grass....other than that it's a nice tent.

ditto what syklist says, we used to have that model with just 2 bedrooms and the kitchen area, we always cooked in the tent without any problems.

We loved it but it was cold in the living are at night due to the rather large gap between the fly and ground sheet. Huge bedrooms and living area though.

Sound's like its an old model, How much are they asking for it?

If its cheap enough it would make a sensible purchase.

regards simon.
