Just returned back from camping again (two year break) just wondering if anyone on here camps or caravans alone? Sites more so than wild camp.
Went away this easter in my tent which is i guess way large for one person but i bought it from new and its still in great condition so keeping it, with two family's who have both now gone the caravan route. I have considered this but as yet still love the glamping tent lol.
Although they have been camping friends for many years i thought maybe its time to see if there is any singles that would be interested in some camp trips .
Seems as though the good sites now are mainly families and married couples.
Hi torquetwister
I camp alone for a few weekends a year
I prefer the smaller quiet sites myself and I like my home comforts too
I also have a preference for campsites that allow fires
I camp slot in Norfolk Suffolk Dorset Devon
Planning my next trip as I right this hoping to get away after the may bank holiday
It's surprising who you get to meet when camping alone I've met some great people and always enjoyed myself
Have fun and just enjoy the solitude
I do
Hi both, if your ever in the Mid or South Wales area. I really want to get back into camping and trekking, visiting interesting "things"? (Forests, Castle's, anything really with a good walk).
LOL... I don't "trek" either, for me it's more like a meander, just to get out and about in the fresh air. Then back to 'camp' light a fire and crack open a can or two. But cheers for the reply.
Hi loneranger
Thanks for the invite
I might just take you up on the offer later in the year
I'm more of a meanderer too just like to chill out and go with the tools but fire beer a good chat is an excellent way to spend an evening

Hello all, nice to see some likeminded people who camp alone. I’ve got a bit of glamping setup myself (electric hookup essential) and like to grab the tent and go away for a cheap few days. If anyone is going away I’d be happy to join, never thought about others solo camping like I do as I see so many family’s and couples.
Based in the West Midlands on the welsh boarder, gives me a good starting point to visit a lot of rural places. Only problem are the roads around and my little car, with my camping gear loaded up I’m a little slow 😂 should have got something bigger than a 1.2lt car 🚗!! Lol
