Hi Mattcharlie

We seem to have a few things in common. I am new to caravanning, but have had many years of camping in a tent. I find it hard at the moment getting away on my own as i havent conquered putting the caravan on the tow bar and taking it off. At the minute i holiday with my parents.

Im 32, single and have 2 dogs, so lonely is a issue i experience.

I have been in touch with 2 other members on this site, we were chatting about meeting up around September.

I live in Durham North East England.

That sounds great news and good timing. I have a week booked in September off work as my parents are abroad and I am looking after my grumpy little dog. When is it that you were thinking of going. I have Sat 24th Sept-1st Octber off and it would be great to meet you all.

Im 33 so a bit older but again, you, might have someone the same age and not get on at all!

Im off away for the first time with the 2 dogs this weekend but hopefully it will be the irst of may as my kids go to their fathers once a fortnight!

We shall all have to arrange a big meet up!

Hi to all,

I have only just started to caravan on my own as away of getting away from needy family.I went on my first foray last weekend in Formby and really enjoyed my self.

Which Birchwood are you referring to? I have looked Birchwood up in the site search and there are 4?

It was Birchwood in Dorset but has now been cancelled
