Hi Dream Catcher and Froncophile and don't forget Bob Happy new year to you all .
Well a new season is upon us so lets hope we get a few meets under way.
The Brian Cox series this week on bbc2 has got me interested in gazing so i'm adding that to my interests and went out and bought a scope
I have spent many years in the in the van thinking gosh id love a scope by here as the light pollution was at a low
In particular the Oxfordshire country side .
So i'm ready all I suggest is you check the threads and make yourselves known
Happy New year Jury...nice to see you back again. I am not too sure if and when I can go camping this year. The credit crunch has finally caught up with me and I may have to sell up and think of something else to keep me occupied, but I'll have to see how things go.
Hi Bob sorry to hear that the crunch may stop your activities as I know how much you enjoy camping
I must agree that prices seem to be on the up every season its not cheap any more fuel costs alone are limiting me to the distance I travel now
But i'm going to see what happens this season and decide from there ,
I have looked into being a warden in the jobs section think about it you are on site free gas/elec and a little wage to go with your hobby might give it a go take care
The cost of camping isn't too bad. There are still some reasonably priced campsites around. The petrol is a consideration but it is simply the cost of living in general that is beating me...the bills keep getting bigger but my pension doesn't.

Sounds good but you never get any time to go camping
Well, a stroke of good luck...I have had a cash injection so may be able to get away a few times this year after all. Let me know if you are going anywhere.
Hi Bob glad to hear of your good fortune I have a little news that I have met someone who's real nice but that not to say I wont be out camping on my own we all need some space i'm in the process of planning the route to Sorrento in Italy for my sons wedding in June quite an adventure it looks with all the countries to go through avoiding the tolls 1 day 9 hrs but I intend to take 3 days there and 3 days back to enjoy it all 1470 miles in total one way put some mileage on the old girl at last lol keep in touch post your whereabouts i'm still up for some banter oh I have a season at the liberty as well so some sats are out during the season
