I've managed to book 10 pitches at Green Pastures Farm which is just outside the New Forest and not far off the major roads into the area, so should suit most people :)
The pitches are booked from Friday pm through to Sunday pm, to vacate by 11am Monday (it being bank holiday n'all).
Costs are as follows, based on two people per pitch:
2 man hiking tent: £36 (£6 pppn)
Average/Family tent: £45 (£7.50 pppn)
Large tent (>7m in any dimension inc. guy ropes): £60 (£10 pppn)
Additional adult: £3 pppn
Extra Car: £2 pn
Day Visitor: £1 pp
Gazebo: £3 pn
Please note there are no EHU's on the part of the site we're located on - there are some on this field but it would mean pitching quite close to another group which they weren't too happy about, so no electricity this time :)
There is no charge for dogs however they must be on leads at all time on the campsite with no exceptions.
As I am having to put down a deposit to cover the pitches it would be really great if you can confirm you're coming by posting your name on the list below, and drop me an email at camping at suffolkcomputerservices.co.uk with your details - I'll need a cheque for £10 to hold your pitch for the weekend :)
1. Ruth (RCheesley) & John (6 man tent)
2. Phil & Toria (4/6 man tent)
3. Jamie & Mel (2 man tent)
4. David & Pernille (2 man tent)
5. Cath & Bob & Chris (6 man tent)

Looking forward to some awesome sunny weather and a lovely relaxed weekend!

Still got 4 pitches left, due to no interest since booking the pitches I have managed to invite a few people to come along - would be lovely to have some people along though, pretty disappointed at the poor turnout from ukcs :(
Hi Ruth, I can't make August I'm afraid, but if it goes well and theres a follow-up meet in Sept (or perhaps early next year) I'll definitely try to come along.
Ooooh yeah, New Forest sounds fab, I'd be up for this. Don't know if hubby can come as haven't got his roster for August yet, so may be solo, but sounds fun, and would love to meet some more people!

------------- 2011 plans:
April - Exmoor 11 nights
May - Brynawelon, Wales 3 nights
July - Rendlesham Forest 4 nights
Then I am off back home to Australia, where the weather is always perfect for camping :)
Adding this to the events diary has done weird things to the original posts - please see the first post to add your name to the list if you want to come.
I'm not in a position to book yet, as I don't know hubby's roster for August yet, but I will keep my eye on this thread and let you know closer to the time
Cheers

Okie Dokies, it will be first come first served but I don't know as we'll get a huge rush of people wanting to come :)
I suspect it wouldn't be a problem adding on more people if we do get full but I would have to check with the site - as I am sure you can imagine they're already somewhat wary/anxious about a bunch of young people who don't know each other IRL descending on their campsite ;)
4 pitches left if anyone is looking for something to do over the bank holiday weekend - looks like it might be good weather!
Have updated the post above to reflect people I've invited along from outside UKCS given the non-existant response from those who were originally interested :(
