Hi, I thought that would get your attention..... is there a group for me I wonder? I 'm surrounded by married friends, whose idea of fun is cruises and luxury meals and mine is camping and bbq's. I'm just gone 60, female and happily single. I just received the ultimate b'day pressy of wetsuit/ surfboard and lessons so I'm looking for other active oldies up for making a fool of themselves while having fun; single males/females, and any single parents with kids who won't be easily embarrased joining me in the sea. As a childminder and parent to 3 young men, I love kids, loud music ,beer and burnt burgers. I'm in London, and would happily meet up anywhere that has surf along the south coast/Devon/Wales for Fri -Sun trips. Anyone?
Hi, Peggy, some of us have been trying to get a group going for single "around 60"s. Most of us at the moment appear to be north of St. Albans but keep an eye open on our threads anyway, there'll usually be something about "60" in the heading. The only one we've got at the moment is in Derbyshire - see under "central".

Hello Peggy. Click on my homepage and join the clan...but you won't get me in the sea...not since I found out what fish do in it
Hi Peggy,i am a 43 yr old single female who is also very happy being alone,i live in Bournemouth right on the south coast but unfortunately also do not like going in the sea after stepping on a weaver fish but if you're ever down this way and need some company camping i'm available every other weekend.Swanage is very good with lots of turn up and pay campsites which allow campfires and BBQs.
Check out this thread. We are trying to arrange a solo/singles meet in the Southern area in September, possibly 23rd Sept and probably at Birchwood campsite near Wareham in Dorset. All we need is enough interest and I will arrange things with the site and set up a specific meets thread. If you are interested please say so in that thread initially.
Hi Yohanna, thanks for your posting.I would love to meet up and very often just go to Boscombe for the day. Next time I'm coming your way I could give you a couple of days notice.I don't know how to pass on my email address on this site.
Hi Bob61 are you having any luck with the 23rd Sept meet? I've camped alone at Rockley Park and love that area...Monkey World and Weymouth. In fact, I was there last week when I bought my car out of the Auto Trader....you get so much more for your money buying out of London.

Hello Peggy...the meet has only been 'thought about' in the last two days so it depends if there is any interest as to whether it takes off. There seems to be one or two southern solo campers so hopefully if a few are interested we can get this one off the ground. Do I take it you may be interested?
Hi Bob and Peggy alas i am working on the weekend of the 23rd and 24th sept but am off the following weekend,i work odd and unsociable hours i'm afraid so makes it difficult to arrange things.
I'm off every other weekend but i work until 10pm on the friday night which makes it difficult to do 2 nights camping.Peggy if your nearby (i'm 5 mins drive from Boscombe) then i could meet up for the saturday night sometime if your about.
