hi edd. and welcome to this great camping club. there are always events going somewhere. but even tho you have a car. some may be a bit too far for you to travel to. but some people dont mind. they just get in the car and go. i travel free on the train. so distance is not a problem. its the distance from the station to the camp site i am going camping on the 10th june. not sure where yet. but arisaig sounds good. long ways up. but plenty of motorway if ya going there. do you have any place in mind that you would like to go to. maybe i can meet you there. or even travel with you. and share the costs of fuel. as i am retired. i can go at any time. but usualy this is once a month on a friday when i get a nice little sum. railway pension. this allows me to have a nice weekend. let me know if any place interests you that you would like to go to.

There's a meet this coming weekend, from tomorrow afternoon, at Major Bridge site, Holme-on-Spalding Moor, Yorks - have a look at the Semi Hopleys Yorkshire Ridings thread. hi finn. what exactly in the way of kit do you want. i have a spare tent you can have. you have a choice of a 3 man pop up. quechua.. or a 4 man dome. the quechua has not even been used. the dome. i believe has been used once. you can have either one for free. and i can come to the nearest station for you.as i travel free on the train. e/mail me if ya want one.

Hi, Ed, don't know what age range you're in but a few of us more mature singles are trying to arrange meets - another couple in the group aren't far from you. We have one booked in July and September and are just trying to decide on a place for August.

If you qualify, have a look at this. It says "over 60s" but we're actually from early 50s onwards.
