Yes! You could try Hayfield at the edge of the Peaks. There's an adult field and a separate one for families - tents only, no caravans as the road to the site is too narrow. We loved our stay there and I'm a single mum too so am ultra cautious! There's a very dog and family friendly pub about 2 mins walk (Sportsman) and a lovely play park down in the village.

I've also stayed at Fisherground Farm in the Lakes. A fab site with a punting pond for the kids, an adventure playground and a mini railway (with a station at the site) which heads down to the seaside.

Hope you have lots of fun together :-)

If you want to go away with a group, try www.singlewithkids.co.uk/

There are usually lots of weekend camps planned, although there aren't so many this summer it seems. There is also a forum with lots of single campers - you may get some more ideas from there.

I've never really considered my single status when taking us all camping - just pick a nice looking site and take pot luck! Never had any problems so far!

Good luck
