Hi im new here,im looking to do a spot of winter camping last week jan/ first week feb 2012, we did this in november 2010 in the lake district (record breaking weekend for minus temps) with a temp of minus 15C, had a bloody good time and would like to do it again and am looking for some more people to join us.

Its much better waking up to snow than rain !!!!

A little further north and I recommend Glenmore Campsite on Hogmanay/New Years Day (and a few days after).

 It appears to be a national pastime to attempt to climb Cairngorm on New Years day.

Unfiortunately we didn't sober up until the 4th when we reached the top in a white-out blizzard. But it was a great trip anyway. (from what I can remember).
