I'm making a return to camping after parting with my campervan I've owned for many years.
My problem is none of my friends are into camping so I'm looking for any groups that are specifically for or welcome solo campers.

Any suggestions would be most welcome.

We have a single parents/solo campers group on here with various members regularly meeting up at different sites. Most of us live in the North West and camp at sites in the Lancashire/Yorkshire/Derbyshire areas, if you don't mind travelling a bit then you would be welcome to join us at one of our meets.

you are in the right group, top of the page click on Meeting Up - Solo & One Parent Campers (in red text/under message forums) and it will show you a list of recent posts.

our next meets are this weekend - Monsal Trail, 31 Aug nr Buxton and Northern Anniversary Meet, Riverside, Sept 21st nr Skipton

i am going on both, its a fab group of people all ages ranging from 4 - 68 (that i know of) its single people and single parents, some with dogs. we people in have tents, caravans and motorhomes.

you are more than welcome to join us, just let us know

I know of only one group so far of solo campers /single parents who meet on a regular basis and thats us !!The Northern Solo/Single Parent Group or as it seems just lately The Nutters Group ! As the name suggests we are based up in the north of England and regulary meet up in Yorkshire ,Lancashire,Peak District and have done one meet this year in Wales Members of the group(bIlly106,dragon5551,scooby, brunos mum, quebec camper)to name just a few  just post on here saying they are going to camp somewhere on such a date ,if you fancy it just post on that thread to say your interested.Full details of whats required HERE

Hope you decide to join us you will be welcome to do so
