Hello all - New to the site and just wondered if anyone else fancied tagging along on many camping trips I enjoy every year.

Some are car based, others are pure backpacking.

Plenty of room car-wise if you need a lift and plenty of space for kit. Happy to tow if you have a trailer-tent or even a caravan.

Weekends and mid-week, year round

hi zipnut. just wondering how far you would be prepared to travel in the car. with passenger helping with fuel costs. I loved camping and I am back into it again. few setbacks tho, getting married again. wife not that keen. as I don't have a car. some sites are a good distance from stations, and bus stops just about the same. I would like to do a few nights in the lakes. near a pub as well. I gave my two tents away. somebody down south got. brand new unused pop up 3 man, and a good dome tent. due to mate deciding not to go camping again. now I want to start again. got a few things left. easy to get other stuff. so if you fancy a few nights in the lakes. I can pay my share of fuels . just need to pick me up at a station. Carlisle would be ok.
