I love the outdoor life and regularly camped with my ex in the south west and Wales. However, now that I am single I'd ideally like to continue camping but not on my tod.
Anyone know of groups who cater for such a thing??
hi paul. going by your name i guess you live down in that area. i just got a new tent today. all i need now is a gas stove and a couple of pans. and a few minor things. i am up in gateshead. but willing to travel to most places that have a train service near the camp site. cant walk far. arthritis dictates i guess. old age at 68 i suppose.but still young at heart. there are lots of groups on here.so you can soon find one that suits you.i got a few friends that may come down your way if they are available. work come first.
I'm looking to escape to Scotland where wild camping is allowed... I'm looking long term...would anyone like to join me from May 2016. I intend to live off the land, fish etc.

Hi Paul, There are two clubs I know of that cater for people who camp alone, The Phoenix Club and the New Companions Club. You can look them both up on line. Both have fairly full programmes of meets and tours. Good luck!
