Is anyone camping this month if so what tent equipment are you all using.

I used to camp in sub zero temperatures but not these days. I used the same gear all year round i.e a good 3-4 season sleeping bag and electric hook up with a fan heater. Prior to getting EHU I occasionally ended up camping in frost and that wasn't much fun at all. EHU made it home from home in all weathers and I wouldn't go camping without it now even in summer.

Probably next month as the weather isn't wintery enough yet.

Vango force 10 mk2, vaude norrsken mat and either the British or dutch army arctic bag.
I usually take the trangia and the edelrid hexon petrol stove. Clothes? Just my winter mountaineering gear, oh, and headtorch. Dont need EHU if on my own.

Not sure yet there are a few campsitesin to open all year the tipi is a bit big to go wild camping

I've only ever wild camped in the Cairngorms. A great experience in winter.

I have a canvas bed roll as well for wild camping but my younger son up for it so I think it will be a site and a tipi
Also looking to go wild camping following hadiran wall

I have camped during winter in my 2 berth tent, on numerous occasions. I have an assistant dog, I'm Deaf. He sleeps beside me - it's lovely and cosy.

As a backup, I have a portable 12 volt car seat warmer I bought from Aldi. I plug it into a 12v leisure battery. It only takes 5 minutes to warm up inside a 4 season sleeping bag. I charge the leisure battery in my car the next day. I don't use the site electric hookup. It works out quite expensive.

I sometimes carry a hot water bottle too.

Now I have a micro camper van. I camped in it for 3 nights this week without falling back on the Aldi car seat warmer or the hot water bottle. The temperature outside was minus 7 degree centigrade. I enjoyed it.
