If you usually travel light and want to go to a meet you may find somebody passing your area who has room to give you a lift. Always worth asking.

I'd like to ber able to do this but I think I should get to know some people first before I ask for a lift of some one to go to a meet. At the end of the day I  wont know these people and they wont know me either so by going to a few meets around the country first should be a good ice breaker......

I have to say though I am a fisherman as well so I'll be going to places where I can do fishing and this may over lap a meet some times, But, I really need to get my equipment back together again first so I am well prepared for what ever the english weather throws at meand site, but its a good idea bob and I will concider this....

If you've got to carry fishing gear as well, the first camping item you need is a car

This is true bob it does help if you have a car so I guess thats why I havent been fishing for awhile cos of this but in saying this if there are 2 or 3 going the load can be shared out, not only that if you just carry the bits you need for fishing its not too bad either, I normally just take the equipment I need when I fish so its light even when I had a car...........

Hi Chris I have never been to a meet but would like to. Unfortunately I could not get an email to you using the link (not very PC literate). I am male single age 70 totally deaf and rely on text messages and emails to corresspond no problem understanding people I do lip read and sign so can hold intelligent conversations (if you aant to listen). I have been m/cravanning since I was 17 usually I wild camp but am getting a little nervous doing that now on my own and at my age and being deaf and would like the company of likeminded people on my trips away. Can you or any other member tell me how to contact you the meet at Brean sounds good as a starter for me I live in Redditch Worcestershire close by J2 M42. Look forward to hearing from someone. Regards to you all Troutmanateam
