Hi we have managed to get someone to do it and he's fitted a new seal we had a heater on trying to dry it out as he said it's around 23 percent moisture with his meter he does damp for a caravan repairers he said it will take ages to dry out My worry is that as it's coming ip to winter will it go qorse or not dry out Has anyone had a seal fitted and it was OK It looks l8ke as we couldn't get anyone water has seeped into it .The guy that did it daid don't worry it will dry but I'm a worrier anyway Anyone offer any advice please
we did ours after about 4-5 yrs of having a damp problem at the front end, the seals had to be replaced along with the timber on the inside, which stayed about the same over the later 4 years until we got around to sorting the problem out. to help matter we put a j strip above the front windows to redirect the water coming off the roof to go out and over the sides instead, seems to have worked a treat as it all bone dry for the last 2 years now
there is only a small amount around 20 percent om his meter as he has the professionalism meter he Said you don't get a true reading off the meters you can buy in the shops Its only around 1 window and he said it's nothing to worry about He is slso resealing the front rail for us next week The other windows are fine but we are going to have new seals put on them next year before any kore problems start He said it will dry out inside now the water ingress has stopped is this the case I have never dealt with this before
