We've just bought a used caravan. The van is fine, but the grab handles have a grimmy dirty looking blackish blue film over them. Any ideas whats best to "get em looking like new" again.

Thanks

Bernie

sounds like the paint has rubbed off,try a cream cleaner with bleach,50p.will shift most stains.do not use on coloured paint.

Saw this topic on another site, can't remember which, but the grab handles on our amara had gone grey and mouldy looking, other site suggested Dettol mould and mildew cleaner sprayed on and cleaned off a few times, I couldn't find any any so used some Astonish mould and mildew cleaner which we already had, works a treat, after about 4 applications they're as good as new, a good coating of white car polish they look great, so Astonish M&M about £2 or Dettol M&M about £4 ( in tesco today ) both seem to work well and got to be better scrubbing or sanding
