I have a 2008 sterling cruach movern and the Thetford fridge is broken, I want to replace it with an ordinary under the counter fridge freezer as I don't want to put big money into such an old caravan to replace the Thetford, does anyone know if there is an under counter fridge available that would fit and is the fridge space over the wheel arch? Thanks
Can’t you see if the fridge space is over the wheel arch?
------------- XVI yes?
As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
Looking at pictures of the Morven, where the fridge vents are it’s obvious the fridge is over the wheel arch. So will reduce the depth you have to work with.
Assuming the pictures I looked at are correct.

I don't know about over the wheel arch but my Elddis caravan has at some time before we bought it been fitted with an ordinary domestic fridge. It fits nicely in the original fridge space and works very well. Only snag is that we can only use it on EHU, but that doesn't bother us as we only ever go to sites with EHU anyway.
It was serviced last month and the fridge was working fine, it is the back control board that has packed in and the fridge is discontinued and no one seems to be able to fix them

The only problem with a normal domestic fridge is the noice it makes especially when you are trying to sleep.
I suppose that might be true of some, but we really don't notice ours. In fact we didn't even notice that it was an ordinary domestic fridge until after we had used the caravan a few times. I only really realised when I was doing another little job on the caravan and I saw that the gas tap for the fridge had been blanked off.
