Our caravan was serviced last month and damp was found. It is covered under the extended warranty and Coachman have agreed it. The dealer phoned me today and told me that they had some but not all of the parts needed and would we fetch them to stop them being muddled up with others. Is this usual? It would mean a 60 mile round trip.
As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
The other thing that seems odd to me is "to stop them being muddled up with others". Doesn't sound like a very organised department, why should parts ordered potentially be "muddled up with others"?

Oh c’mon Mrs B, there must be a CL nearby that you could stop at as part of a longer trip? (Tongue firmly in cheek.)
Yup, that's what I thought too - Mrs. B does not need much of an excuse to go camping!

It's not just the inconvenience to consider.
If the service company obtain the parts and there is a problem with them then it is their problem to sort out the problem. If you have supplied the parts then it is your problem.
If they can't run a simple stores procedure, I hate to think what the rest of their operation runs like.
