My old electrolux 3 way fridge works on electricity but not on gas.
The pilot light ignites and stays on, but the fridge does not cool down.
Anybody got a fix?
Thanks,
Joe.
There have been previous posts on this topic before and the solution seems to be to remove the fridge, turn it upside down for a few hours then re-install the fridge. Apparently, that usually rectifies the problem probably because there was an airlock in the cooling system, however, someone else on the forum may support this theory if they have had an identical problem themselves with a 3 way fridge on gas and found the same solution as mentioned.
More details required.
Is the gas actually lighting?
Are you confident working on gas systems?
I'd strongly suggest getting it checked by a mobile caravan engineer.
Getting it wrong can be catastrophic!
If it works on electric that rules out airlock as the element is doing the same to the coolant as the gas. Friend had same problem I took fridge out and cleared the burner full of cobwebs, spider had made home. Fridge then worked

Yes. I had thought things through and got to checking the burner for blockages next.
Thanks for confirming . Always very useful to have more minds on the job.
