This may sound like a daft question but what Plywood is used in folding campers? Mine has 18mm plywood and it has gone soft VERY quickly after the cover leaked in a spot at the front. I find it quite shocking considering I built a workshop 8 years ago with plywood fascias that is exposed to the elements which is stained and that is still rock hard and it's not even marine ply.
Any repairs mentioned on here re folding camper, marine ply was always quoted.
------------- XVI yes?
As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
I,d of used marine ply then varnished it with spinnakers or similar yacht varnish..I dilute the first two coats 50/50 with turps, white spirit. Then a light sanding down, followed by final coats as you see fit..at least two..on my final coats find using a 90 parts varnish 10 parts turps..if any sealer check my posts under SEALER..Don't forget a kettle plus coffee or tea can pay dividends...Good luck Gary
For an application such as that I would use WBP (Weather and Boil Proof) exterior grade plywood. This is almost as resistant as Marine Plywood bur far less expensive. As stated in the previous post it is imperative to seal it with a coat of diluted marine varnish then give it another couple of coats od undiluted marine varnish.
