hi,my truma ultraflow connector bridge is leaking ,is there a special tool to release it from the houseing ,i cant get a screwdriver behind it to release the connectors which you push in to release,do i need this connector bridge as its for the out door shower which i dont use.thanks any help would be great
No special tools available AFAIK, I've removed mine by releasing each locking clip in turn and carefully 'walking' the bridge off the housing outlets by utilising the flex of the plastic parts - bloody awkward to do, as can only get one had to it because of its location under a bench and partly behind the heater unit and can't see it at same time as hands on, so doing it entirely by feel!
I believe those bridge pieces are prone to cracking through ice formation in residual water after drain down of the system, they are an appallingly bad design that cannot be fully drained in situ! That's why I removed mine, as a precautionary measure. That may be the source of your leak.
No you don't need it, you can do without, just ensure you reattach the plumbing correctly to the two functional connectors on the housing.
