 you can get the brackets from purpline or from ALKO but buying kojack or alko brackets at £27 is false economy look on E bay for a S/hand kojack or as said a Kojack lite from argos

I'v done the trolley jack/ bottle jack route even had jacking brackets made up eventaly bought a Kojack scissor type & its so easy to use

& it replaces your car jack so you dont have to carry extra weight

I use a scissor jack which has a rubber lined 'U' shaped saddle which accommodates the chassis rail and/or axle plate to help deter slipping. Instead of the usual hook and eye crank handle the jack has a 19mm bolt head which makes for better cranking with a socket set ratchet and long extension. The rating plate on the jack claims it has a 2 ton capacity

Because ALKO say not to. doing so WILL invalidate the warrant

Likewise they stipulate that the corner steadys must not be used to level the van as it may twist/distort the chassis

The only difference I can think is that the brackets that come with the kojack ( or alko's own ) are fixed on with very high torque so they in effect become part of the chassis and strengthen the part of the chassis taking all the weight.
