 I just wanted to know if anyone knows of a way i can fix these handles on the rear without having to take all the back of the van apart.  We have tried the glue method and longer screws but it seems there is nothing to screw into the screws just turn and turn in holes.  Is there anywhere else you could move these grab rails to maybe and fill the old holes in?

you could use my method of fixing it just means longer screws.i would use nuts and bolts x 4 each handle if possible,thin ones that is.

Stainless M4 or M5 should do it,from a chandlery or a fixings supplier...ebay maybe.

On this subject,it seems to me that screwed on grab handles are more trouble than they are worth.I have had so many problems with them,always letting wet in,pulling OFF when you pull ON them....the ones moulded into panels - OK.But I reckon you are better off without them.There is rarely anything strong enough to fix to that would safely allow you to haul the weight of the van by.I will give you that they look nice in chrome - I got them in spades on my Roma.But would I pull the van by them ? Not a chance.Once off,fill holes (with a thread tap-able epoxy putty if necessary),replace with bedding sealant and never touch !

I was told many years ago to not pull a van with the handles, there only there to guide it,pushing is done by a hand on a back/side panel,or the front/side panel.

If you injected this stuff into the holes, then pushed the screws in (with handles attached) while it is still wet, then taped the screw heads down to avoid them being pushed out by the expanding foam the job could be a good un. The foam is moisture cured too!
