the one I have used a couple of times is put a heavy pan over the plughole, and use a hosepipe to back wash the pipe. using a plunger in my van popped the pipe off the bottom of the sink, not good. My way is not putting pressure on the connections before the blockage (from the inside) so has worked 3 times for me
That sounds like the best idea actually but is it practical because how many of us actually carry a long hose pipe in the locker? And even if you did, the fresh water point could be quite a distance away for the hose pipe to reach. It may be a good solution if you own a motorhome where you can drive to the water point but for a folding camper or caravan that's all set up and stationary could be rather a difficult task. How did you actually manage to use a hose pipe on site when you removed the blockage? It could be a useful tip.
