I have a Seville 2014 and thinking of changing the alde heating fluid but struggling to find the drain tube under the van I can see what looks like a plug under the entrance step but it is recessed into the floor could this be it i would appreciate your help thanks
There is a good video on You tube, just google "Alde coolant change antifreeze change" it is a 20.15 min. video by Geoff Pegg. I followed this except I didn't bother with Demin water I just bought the ready mixed antifreeze and pumped through till it changed colour. I used just over 13 litres of antifreeze. I bought the pump from ebay and it came with clear plastic pipe. I found the cheapest place for anti freeze was Caravan accessories 4 U. Geoff changed his on a motorhome but it was the same for caravan. I had no problems, very little air to bleed and no mess.
Thanks to everyone for the information in this thread. I am preparing myself to change the anti freeze in the Alde Heating system in our caravan and plan to use the 5 year product. All the information on here and particularly the video by Geoff Pegg has been of great help. I have one question, when reading about the various types of anti freeze I noticed some said ‘ready mixed’ I was looking at the Comma Xtream G40. My question is does ‘ready mixed’ mean that I don’t need to add de-ionised water? Or is ‘ready mixed’ the concentrate and I still mix that with de-ionised water.
Thanks.
Francis.
