The lights are tube lights and are polarity sensitive, the red wire is positive and the black negative.I have just tried one in the shed,if you connect it up backwards they don't light so just switch around and should be fine. Try white orange stripe to red and white to black. Hope this helps

I agree with Mike. Those are fluorescents, and are polarity sensitive. Just try them and swap the wires if they don't work first time. Please let us know how you get on, and which of the caravan wires ends up being the positive (connected to the red wire from the light), as it may be of help to someone else.
