Truma SER MOVER
I thought my last posting would have been my last but it wasn’t to be, If you are interested please read on.
I had said I was about to purchase a refurbished actuator from Holland but things changed ,it was delayed because I was trying to get round another expense not to add a further cost £28 for exchange rates and transfer fees , onto the £220 I hesitated ..fortunately. With other works to do I put It on the back boiler until last week . I had decided to purchase a new mover from from Aldi for £499, it has wind on rollers. Yesterday I removed the offside mover , which had been working fine) and was astonished to find the Rubber Gaiter that covers the mechanics was totally in pieces, This would have meant that within a very short time this actuator motor would have seized . For others considerIng purchasing a used van with ‘full remote’ mover you must look closely   To give you an idea to replace both sides the cost would be around £500 parts only and not brand new .and without labour..Truma spares are excessively expensive . This may be a problem with other manufactures although I doubt if they could be as expensive
Would be buyers must be aware and check carefully the state of the moving parts .
You can can go onto the web and see this actuator motor and the gaiter Illustration and before you purchase get down and look to the underside of the mover. If the the gaiter is split in anyway don’t buy the van unless it gets fixed.

I have no idea how this Aldi (Euromover ); mover will be but at £500 , 5 years warranty plus it looks well made . There is video on You Tube showing you how to fit it
I’m fitting mine today hope it goes ok

Tony

Hi, I have found your post after a search to find an actuator motor for my Truma Se R. My problem is that the gearbox part has failed and I wondered if you still have the gearbox part, and if you have considered selling it?

Cheers, Graham
