Absolutely! We had our compass rallye done at Greentrees in Norfolk and a good job they did. We considered foam but the proper stuff is like walking on concrete. I dont mind skimping now and then but this is a job you want to last.

Have just had my 1996 van done. I did it with foam and laid laminate over about 2 years ago but had started to go spongy again. Had it done from underneath by our local repair shop David Hulse, and they seem to have done a good job. took a couple of days cost me a bit of labour and a repair kit (special stuff to do from undernneath).I was going to do it myself from in the van but didnt fancy taking the laminate up. total was only about  £100 for the delam repair. well worth not having to do it myself. I have a couple of spare "from the top" delam kits for future repairs if needed.

dont bother with the foam.

expandable foam = a disatater waiting to happen.. as a tester make your self a small wooden box spray some inside close box and leave for a day.youll see it easisly expands to fill void inside box

day 2 it will start to push sides open

after a week or so the whole box will fall apart. this tuff can keep expandind for week and weeks ive tried and tested this.

however this stuff

ONE SHOT DELAMINATION EXPANDING GLUE

200

comes in a no mess container and you can do as much or as little as you need pop the top on and leave it until another day.

works same way as micheal states in his how to procedure above but without the mixing.

sold at most caravan dealers aswell as ebay for under £15.00 one bottle done the full extent of my van, and then i used it to stick down lino in bathroom very sparingly then i ised to to hold laminate flooring down again very sparingly.

one other tip i was given is when using this stuff cut all dowle pins then store them in a bowl of water so they go in wet (i think it sets one shot off making it stronger)

also 1 other point that was brought to my attention about lamintae floor is unladen weight is increased by a good amount as laminate flooring isnt lightweight

ive also seen people use a very thin board of ply followed by laminate lino reducing weight

I recently sold our Abbey Somerset. It had a spongy floor spot about 8" square, nothing serious, & it had got no worse in the time we owned it, but I wanted it fixed for selling onwards. I priced up the kits but in the end I boarded the whole floor with 12mm high grade ply. Its added about 15kg to the caravan's weight but I feel comfortable that it will not go again in a different place. Only issue was the very lowest door, under the fridge. This had to be lifted 12mm, just a case of re-fixing the hinges. Floor was nice & solid afterwards. I was replacing the carpets anyway also.

This stuff works, had a delaminated floor int he new van (Elddis 450 EB), about 6 x 2 feet. Drilled 200 holes, injected resin (after propping floor) and weighed down.

Got out when we realised the damned stuff got warm! Left for 12 hours, it was set rock hard, finished up and fitted a new carpet. What a blinder! The floor is solid and level. If you suffer from delaminated floors follow these instructions get the resin and add value to your van!

Just remember, if it is older than yours, smaller than yours but next to yours, there is probably no credit owing on it...
