You are a little of course with the address each one sits I think. I do know what you mean and understand but my first post is correct , you were misinterpretating it based on where you have driven past :-)

The juntion you are talking about isn't coming out of Kirkcaldy, it may seem like that but is actually still In Kirkcaldy.. and the road you are talking about is the back road to Leven etc..perhaps sign posted to Windygates know as the BACK ROAD, all of that area are right up to the roundabout I was talking about which takes you onto the A92 called the Turnhouse round is Kirkcaldy. :-)

I do approx 30K miles per year so don't drive or direct like a "typical woman" :-)

Been to leeds in back last night in 8 hours. ;-)

Wallaces is indeed on the Thornton Road and a full 2 minutes away at the Boreland is Kirkcaldy Caravan Centre - My advice is when you get to the Thornton roundabout on the A92 - DONT TURN LEFT into Wallaces! Turn right the at next roundabout in about 800 metres turn left and there you are KCC where Eric and Danek and their helpful staff await

The caravan dealer at Kincardine Bridge does sell Baileys - I pass there regularly when nipping back and forth (no pun intended) to Glasgow.

Boreland is the name I was looking for Ecclesman LOL couldnt remember it but knew it was a oldish term.

The 2 guys at Kirkcaldy are really nice. He laugh at me when I come in a turn my nose up and some of the caravans. He says I am a upholstry snob :-)

I should have went their in the first place.

I used to alway think the red house area wasn't Kirkcaldy but it is also where the travellers washing area in comes under Kirkcaldy. The wallaces are called " wallace caravan kirkcaldy" that is the trading name.

I THINK YOU HAVE JUST HAD A BAD DAY WITH WALLACES.I KNOW SEVERAL FAMILIES WHO GO THERE BOTH TO BUY AND FOR SERVICES,NONE OF US HAVE EVER HAD ANY TROUBLE.

Hi Clarks,

They are very lucky then :-) since my escapade I have came across about 20 people who have had one experience or another. Seriously. Only 1 person said they thought they were OK and used the word OK and acknowledged she was a grumpy bu--er :-).

One chap I met at Witches Craig recently said he does a bit of caravan servicing and a good % of clients came from there. I asked if he would do mine in future but wasn't taken on anymore business as he is heading for retirement. A very decent chap to.

The service charge is a bit cheaper than Kirkcaldy BUT I think you get what you pay for perhaps and I certainly would pay an extra £10-£15 for the better service overall. Maybe that is why they are trying to stay that little bit cheaper.

Over and about all of that have a look at their caravan prices compared to any of the others around. I supposed if I had paid the price for my Caravan that they asked they would be super nice to me but I had better things to spend the £3300 difference on :-)

Sorry to go on about it so much BUT

That wasn't what I would call a bad day , that was the worst customer treatment I have seen in my life. :-( I am still shocked by it.   I worked for Sainsbury as a customer Service Manager when I was a law student and if I had or had seen anyone ever speak to or treat a customer like that it would have been instant dismissal.   It is her business or I would have done something about it.

It takes 4 times more work to get a new customer as it does to retain one.

Well there is no doubt that message fora such as this will influence consumer behaviour and they will definetly lose business as a consequence. Hell mend them!

I was in wallaces years ago too and they were very grumpy and not very helpful about the van, however were keen to sell us very overpriced finance.

I have had my problems with duncans as have friends who will never go there again.  I still us them and Kincardine/overland who ive never had any bother with.  Kincardine does do Bailey but duncans did a better deal on our new bailey.

unbelieveable.............you should of picked up van and only paid a percentage of the service if the job wasn`t finished that might of taught the grumpy woman a lesson,
