Living in a city, you go into the Black Swan in Middleham have a great night out and just when you think its time to be thrown out, he shuts the doors and shouts out if your not leaving then you go home when I say so. That means 2 or 3oclock (all at the gaffers cost of course officer).
Had to repair mine last October shape of the thing sends the rain down to the rivet hole and in !!! .......... packet of small nuts and bolts with decent size flat heads from the ironmongers ...........drill out the broken off plastic rivet in and through the handle.... do both sides while you are at it ! .... and ..mastic round the hole in the clear cover then pop the bolt through cover and handle and put on the nuts . ( nuts on the inside ) .and tighted ...mastic over the bolt flat heads ..... job done ....rain out !!!
On second thoughts I might have to do it myself. Better half will probably be downing pints with Kingscoop!! This roof vent will never get done but we will probably have a laugh talking about it while we fill ourselves with ale!!
yes we will meet you on boxing day about 7pm if that is ok. We are going to York first to see Neil's family so will meet you on the way back. Where are we meeting?
If the time is not ok we will try and rearrange it.
Where are you staying? I am very close to Carlton, halfway between Kettlewell and Middleham / Leyburn. All four places have very nice pubs althoug i would rate them in the order Carlton, Middleham, Leyburn, Kettlewell.
There is only the one pub and I think it is called the Foresters Arms. Carlton only has one road as well so you won't miss it. I'll be inside wearing a white rose and holding an umbrella.
Really I'm 6'4", wear glasses and have short hair. Useless giving you my mobile number because they don't work up there but if you really need to contact me by phone beforehand then email me at mark.walland at btclick.com and I'll let you have the numbers
