I need to replace a rooflight in my caravan.  I have removed the existing one, and clean off all the sealant which was used to seal it.  I removed the remains with white spirit.

What I would like to know is what sealer would everyone suggest I use to with the replacement?  Sikaflex or Seamseal?

I would use either W4 roll mastic ( that's what i used when i did mine ) or Sikaflex 512 Caravan sealant . Make sure you remove all traces of white spirit with meths , because mastic / sealant doesn't like surfaces with white spirit on them .

I replaced my roof light last year and i used sikaflex as on everything else and it's water tight,
one thing to bear in mind is if you have to remove anything that has been sealed with sikaflex it's a real pain to get off i'm sure my roof light would lift the caravan off the ground.

Seamseal works a treat to but is real messy
