Thanks Mudlark,
The installation definately doesn't involve a pressure switch as when working normally, turning a tap on causes the pump to run and there is no pressure vessel included. If the micro switches are simply connected in parrallel then I am sure that I can solve the problem I was thinking that it might be more complex with hot and cold tap electrical circuits doing different things but the more I think about it the more I realise that isn't necessary.
So the problem now is to work out how to easily get at the taps and their wiring!!!
Or perhaps converting the system to a pressurised system might be a better option??? Presumably there is a single pressure vessel plumbed in before the hot water tank which feeds both the hot tank and the cold water taps with a pressure switch to operate the pump as needed. Might it be an idea to simply (?) fit a pressure vessel???
