Can anyone help? Whoever owned the van before me has rounded off the nuts on two of the corner steadies. It is an old van and the steadies are welded to the frame, can I replace the threaded bolt and if so does anyone know the procedure and where to get them from. Any help or ideas appreciated
Have you enquired about replacement drive screws for the steadies? I am sure that suitable parts would be available somewhere; it's just a case of tracking them down.
michael i dont think you got the question the end of the nuts on the steadies or rounded off so she cant wind them up or down because the socket will not fit propely...............

yes i think so because,to fit these you need to drill the nuts and fit a new end and a split pin.the new ends would be used and not the rounded nuts.bit like locking wheel nuts.
you could also fit a socket on each nut in the same way.knock on the socket as a correct but tight fit.drill fit a split pin all the way through the nut and socket.you can then use a square bar socket brace to wind the legs up and down.prevent rust with WD40.half inch at the rear of the socket not quarter size.

------------- the only silly question is the one you do not ask.
Hi try and drill a hole through from the side and slip a pin or old nail through it so it sticks out both ends then hacksaw a slot in your socket end so the pin locates into the slot
