I've just bought a caravan and the Whale Elegance kitchen mixer tap has an occasional drip. In one of the van drawers is an envelope of 'O' rings and bits labelled "to service the tap". But no diagram etc. I've searched here and the web for a diag showing 'how to service take apart etc' but can't find such info.

Can anybody give me a link or tell me how to get the top of the tap off? I can't see any screws etc and I don't want to damage it by trying to pop it off when that's not the way.

There are screws to remove the whole unit but I don't think that will give me access into any internal o ring seals that need replacing?

Your help and advice appreciated.

Hi

There is a parts diagram here http://www.stowford.co.uk/faultfinder/index2.asp in the water section.  It might help.

Thanks Leanne. The diag does help. But I'm still not sure how to seperate the top of each tap from it's body; so I can get to the bits inside.

Somebody here on the forum must know - let's hope they read this and tell me 'how to'.

knob 2 pulls off, / on the underside there is a nut to undo (plastic one) 5 / this will release the tap from the fitting 6 / there are three screws on the underside  to undo / you should then see the washer on the spindle 11 / the tap at 14 just pushes into the T piece 13.replacment is reverse of this.
