Just purchased a 1988 compass omega and as with everything i purchase secondhand i like to check it all out
started with the electrics which are all in good shape except the need for a new battery and a old charger (lab-craft TP2) which is playing up a bit due to its age
problem with charger was it wouldn't power the 12v system
on its own despite being able to do so being a bit of a dab hand at fault finding i traced this down to a sticky contact (similar to what older cars used to have), i cleaned it up with a bit of emery cloth and it now works fine, however i think it's time to buy a new charger
want the charger to be able to run the 12v system even if battery is low or dead
whats the best ones out there, dont want to change my
zig cp3g just want a charger that will link into that
