Hi there can anybody help me .I have a problem with my truma water system on my abbey aventura tourer.First of all when i turn my water on after ive connected the pump and inserted it into the aquaroll full of water as i put my taps on the water runs through fine but as the water is running there is another outlet underneath the caravan aswell as the drain pipe which constantly drips non stop and causes a lot of water to occur underneath .I dont know what this outlet is but water comes out of it non stop and it looks like some sort black tube connector .I went and took this back to the company who id bought it off but they only but a stopper on the end of it which to me was only a temporary fix and started to drip again after so many uses afterwards.Ive took the drain valve off but it was a sealed unit so i couldnt tell if that was the problem or not so ive gone and ordered a new one.To me when i drain it it is not a problem that works fine but when running water it is a nightmare and starts to leak out of this somewhat outlet thats also underneath the caravan not far away from the drain tube. Can anybody help if so it would be very grateful if you could give me an answer or telephone me on 01642 878937 or 07787625930 during working hours 8 till 5 thanks vary much for reading this subject .

This sounds very much like the air bleed pipe, if so, this will be a thin pipe and connect to the hot water outlet pipe from the heater via a one way valve. The idea of it is to allow air into the heaters tank to speed up draining, problem is the valve sticks open and allows dripping or worse in use.

The valve must be vertical to work correctly, main cause of leaking then is if the valve does not stand upright with only the pipe turning 180degs to lead out through the floor. Other than that the valves faulty and needs replacing or simply block it off and open the hot taps, this will have the same effect on draining as the valve

I too, have this problem with a c series heater. It looks like a 3002, but have not seen any identification. I will look more closely in the morning.
When I pull up the red button on the safety drainage valve, then turn on the cold water, I get only a low pressure delivery, however there is a torrent of water coming out underneath the camper (Dethleffs globetrotter on Fiat Ducato chassis.) There is a great deal of polystyrene lagging around the area, and it seems to come from inside this lagging. When I turn on the hot (no gas at this point) the pressure seems to be even less, and even more water comes from underneath the floor.
Is there some trouble shooting guide about these heaters, and where can I buy parts?
Thanks for any help you can point to.

Mihai

Hi Guppyduck, Under the van there will be a thin clear plastic pipe, thats the breather for the water heater, another pipe with nothing on the end that's the drain pipe for the water heater, the third with the black push fitting is the water system drain pipe, this should have a red stopper inserted, if it's leaking it's not pushed in far enough or the connector has failed.
