Hi I am new to the site and have accquired a 1994 swift challenger 490 se. It as a small amount of damp due to the awning rail coming away on the n/s top corner. I feel this is fixable myself however can I ask for advice on what materials? Mastic roll, trim etc and steps to remove and re install?
Hi, I am new to the site and have just been given a 1995 compass reflection 360/2 caravan. There is some damp around the corner of the front window. The wood is rotten and coming away. I know there had been a leak round the window seal which I have been told has been repaired and I can see that the awning rail is coming away slightly at the front which could be another possible cause of the leak. I don’t know whether to look at getting it repaired professionally or whether to have a go myself. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Looking for help got a swift classic alouette 1996 caravan to day but the bottom where the door is its coming away at the bottom looking for some advice was looking at doing the repair over the winter but was not sure if it was just a case of replacing the wood any help would be great
Hi everyone, was away last week and trip swich went on site when I put it back up I had no lights or water pump, when I got home checked battery it was dead so got new battery and put it in and still no lights or W pump, checked all fuses even 1 on battery lead and all good, when it’s plugged in all sockets working fine but no lights or pump still, please help going swan next week and need fixed any ideas would help, thanks
Main fuse itself may be ok, but is the fuse-holder? I had a problem with mine a few years ago, it had corrosion inside it. If that is ok, all you can do is check the wiring through stage by stage using a multi-meter starting from the battery fuse.
If all the sockets are fine when on EHU, you should have 12 volt supplied by the battery charger, so if you haven't you may have a problem there too, which may be why the battery went flat.
Hi guys not sure if I'm in the right place but recently got a caravan and dreaded damp around window frames well it's completely rotting. We are so new to this after only owning a Pennine folding camper. I wonder if you can give me a step by step guide in how we do this . Like materials sealants. Glues. I'm absolutely gutted and I've shed many tears after finding my dream caravan is not at all what it seams. It just seems one problem after another. My husband and father in law are going to try and do this repair themselves. But any advice and help I'd be truly grateful. Kind regards Cheryl
