hi there , this may seem a silly question to ask but .. when i want hot water i switch on the gas panel in van (green light showing) . then when the water is hot for whatever pots/shower do i turn the panel/switch off ?? or just leave it on !! does it keep useing gas up or does it just get to temp & switch its self off .... im thinking when we set up on site & put hot water on can i just leave it till we leave. ?? confused ????? i hope not hee hee cheers Diana
we just leave ours on,it gets to 70 then cuts off on most vans anyway. if the little one is with us we turn it off at night because its under his bed.a lot of the time we use electric.
------------- the only silly question is the one you do not ask.
Should be thermostaiclly controlled, so it should switch off after reaching the set temprature. If you are not sure then check this, you should hear it click on and then off when the water is hot enough.
Won't your gas be on for the likes of oven and heater anyway?
at Biosdoctor Do caravans have elecric water heating?? A typical 10A hook up seems like a poor way to heat water where there is a gas supply availble ~

both the carver 2 later models and the new truma ones have electric and gas heaters,if you are paying for electric on site you may as well use it and save your gas.£14 per refill now gas is.
