Hi can anyone answer my question i have a 1993 mirage and near the door is a control panel with a meter two switchs and a led

the first switch has three positions the second switch is pump on/off

when on electric hook-up i leave the switch one off but now and again after using the tap the water pump doesn`t stop until i switch over to position 3 and the pump stops then if its night time and this happens i also notice the light go brighter as well when i flick the switch over can any tell me what is the normal operating position for the switch or have i got a problem with the electrics

Regards

We have a Coachman Oasis 1992 -i think same model as Mirage and we have all the original books for it including the charger unit . Let me know . If this will help and I wiill get computet whizz here to attach it.

We had loads of problems with chargher  not charging the 12v systm pump  not switching off and/0r draining the battery.

In the end we had to have a new charger but as they no longer make the originmal losds of complicated wiring was needed.

Hi Jimbob , it sounds like the problem is the pump not turning off and by switching off at the control panel you are over-riding the faulty pump switch .

The pump switch will either be micro switches connected to the taps or a pressure switch either inline with the cold supply just after it enters the caravan or a pressure switch built into the water connection socket on the side of the caravan . This is where i'd be looking rather than switching off at the control panel .

If your water pump system is different to above could you explain how it functions .
