My father in law came from Stoke on Trent and he was a brill bloke. Went through North Africa, Sicily and D Day.  He always called me 'me Ducks (pronounced 'Me Dooks'.  I always felt I owed him for what he did during the war and even with what he did do, he was unasuming, modest and as stuborn as hell but a good man.  Sorry guys, its just that reading this thread and reminded me of him.
