Just got a 1991 ABI Jubilee Viceroy caravan and discovered it had some damp in the rear two corners with a bit of rot which we have repaired thanks to articles on this site. We have resealed the rails and windows with sikaflex 512 and are fairly sure we have cured the leaks. The one coner after 2 days is showing dry but the other corner is still showing damp. My question is how long does it take for these things to dry out?
Hi Tellstar , welcome to UKCS , it depends on how much damp there was , if it was only a small amount it has a posibility of drying out with some help from a fan heater . But if the wallboard was soft it should be removed including any rotten spars and the area underneath dried with a fan heater , then after resealing the outside , new wall board and spars could be fitted in .

Hi all,
Complete newbie to site,so please point me to correct Board, if required.
I have a lovely 1980 Eldiss Mistral, she/he (to be pc) is requiring a new wallboard.
I have arrived at this forum because of reference to wallboard. I have seen all the excellent repair guides but cannot find any standard references to a:-
Find suppliers of ply covered wallboard, can I just use polystyrene, are there standard thickness dimensions.
I understand from the forums that sikaflx 512 is the best medium for sticking together!! It's the other bits I need to scource as well. i.e the inner skin (not bothered about colour)the wallboard as mentioned and the mastic rolls.
Good to be a member and thanks for enabling my post.
Cheers
